Supporting the Forest of Avon Trust

For every new customer spending £500 or more, Green Woods Furniture makes a donation towards tree planting within the Bristol based charity Forest of Avon Trust

Through this scheme, we're playing an active role in helping to maintain and improve new woodland sites for public access and wildlife, as well as supporting the fantastic work of the Forest of Avon Trust.

There are several sites in and around Bristol, including The Retreat (Upton Cheyney), Manor Road Community Woodland (Keynsham), Colliter's Wood (Bristol), Overscourt Wood (Siston) and Oke Park Wood (Bristol).

We recommend any of these for a scenic countryside walk!

The Retreat is particularly nice recent addition - what used to be empty farmland around 20 years ago is now a real habitat for birds, butterflies and mammals (and it has a great pub at the bottom of the hill!) - click here for details.

Since we started up in 2007, our environmental policies have always been at the forefront of what we do and supporting the vital work of the Forest of Avon Trust is a simple and effective way for us to ensure that by buying from us, customers really are having a direct, positive effect on their local environment.

We were also pleased to take part in a short film, hosted by Mike Dilger (wildlife reporter on BBC1's 'One Show'), showcasing the work done by the Forest of Avon Trust.
