Brentwood
Superb, low slung, contemporary bed made from genuine, UK sourced, reclaimed pine - unique to Green Woods Furniture.
Available with two standard headboard heights, the Brentwood actually gives a c.19" sleeping height*, but can also be easily custom made to your own requirements, including adjustments to the headboard and overall bed height.
All the wood we use comes from old buildings and, while it certainly takes time to de-nail and generally clean up the timber, we feel it's well worth it, since each bed has its own, unique and truly individual character. Even the slats are reclaimed!
This bed really is a sturdy piece of kit and is particularly suited for use in attic conversions in the standard, Low Headboard form.

*Standard footboard height for all approximately 10" - for total bed height, add 10" to mattress depth, so for an average size (say 9" deep) mattress, sleep height would be 19" from the floor. For width of bed frame add approximately 12" to the corresponding mattress size, for length add approximately 6".
Also available, the 'Custom Drop In' (see View 4) - where the mattress is set inside the bed frame by approximately 2" (and c.2" thick wood is used for the side rails). Please add £30 to corresponding price for this version.
Please note - unlike similar style beds from other makers, we use solid, 3" thick beams to give a really chunky look, as well as our own, heavy duty, M8 cap screw bed fixing system.
For rooms where space is at a premium, we recommend the Brentwood 'Flush', where the side rails are flush with the headboard.
For bespoke alterations, please enquire.
UK Sourced Reclaimed Wood
At Green Woods Furniture, all of our reclaimed wood is sourced solely from within the UK.
Rescued from demolished old buildings such as schools and churches, the wood is, on average, between 100 and 300 years old, with each piece of timber having its own story to tell.
Buying furniture made from reclaimed wood not only rewards you with a wonderfully individual item, but also ensures that valuable (and characterful) wood isn't just sent to landfill and wasted.
